Minister Shala said that since the re-functionalisation of this Council, which is chaired by the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, participating institutions along with the business community have been very active in joint jobs to address with priority all key challenges and implement comprehensive reforms aimed at improving the business-making environment, eliminating barriers, strengthening Kosovo companies, attracting foreign direct investments to the country.
“Starting with the fact that Kosovo Government has declared 2019 as “V I T T We as participating institutions at this private public forum will make our contribution to raising and discussing many issues that will positively affect the economic sphere, increased business activity, increase foreign direct investments in the country, and finally improve the lives of Kosovo's citizen”, Minister Shala has said.
While Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said this year will be the year of economic development in the country.
The prime minister has demanded more commitment from his subordinates, especially in attracting investors.
“Viti 2018 has been more of a legal infrastructure, but 2019 will be a year of economy. Although in Kosovo we have the most convenient tax policy in the region we want to encourage investors. We must continue reforms in the fiscal area together. Before us lies the issue of informality, and we need to be together to address this subject. The Labour Law has been adopted and forwarded to the Kosovo Parliament, and what is important is that we have found the formula for leukemia that does not charge entrepreneurs”, the prime minister said.
