President Thaci returns the letter to US President Donald Trump

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has returned the letter to US President Donald Trump, who had addressed a letter to Thaci on December 14th through which he had expressed US strong support for Kosovo.

IndexOnline sources near President Thaci's office have said Thaci has returned the letter to the American president since the beginning of this year.

This source has stressed that soon the office of President Thaci will publish the contents of the letter Thaci sent to the American president.

Meanwhile, in the letter Thaci received from President Trump, among other things, calls on President Thaci and Kosovo leaders to use this unique moment to speak in a voice in order to reach the comprehensive agreement with Serbia.

The failure to take advantage of this unique opportunity would be a tragic setback, because another opportunity for comprehensive peace accords could hardly be repeated for a long time”, Trump had written.

In this letter, Trump had written that the United States has invested a lot for Kosovo's success as an independent and sovereign state. We want your country to continue developing.

We are willing to help you in your efforts to reach an agreement that reflects the interests of Kosovo and Serbia in a balanced way. Such an agreement is within reach. I expect that at the White House I welcome you and President Aleksandar Vucic to celebrate what will be a historic agreement”, President Trump wrote
