Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said she would leave her position in the administration of the American president, Donald Trump, a year and a half after taking the role at the Pentagon.
I appreciate the opportunity that this administration offered me, to serve together with the Secretary of Defense, the service members and all civilian staff. It was an honor and privilege”, White wrote on Twitter.
Its departure is the latest in a series of resignations of high profile persons from the Trump administration.
Earlier in December, Mattis announced his resignation as a result of Trump's decision to withdraw American troops from Syria.
The following day, Brett McGurk, US special envoy for the anti-global coalition, resigned. - DEATH.
While at the Pentagon, White was at times a source of controversy about what was once reported on charges of using the staff to perform personal work. The reasons for her departure remain unclear, however, the Pentagon announced that Charles Summers Jr would take on its role.
