Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala hosted representatives of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (BRDH) in Kosovo, led by Neil Taylor, director of the EURZH Office for Kosovo and other officials.
In this case, Minister Shala has announced representatives of the EURZH regarding the activities of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and with particular emphasis cited the support of private sector development, improved business climate, and the removal of barriers to businesses and regulation of the internal market, and the establishment of capacities for refunction of the National Economic Development Council HINA KKZE.
EURZH representatives in Kosovo were interested in projects led by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and in particular for the project to develop the second phase of industrial Park expansion in Drenas, as well as further development of other economic areas in several Kosovo centres. Minister Shala said the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are interested in operating the Strategic Investment Law to begin with addressing the requirements coming from foreign and domestic investors and to proceed with further facilitating administrative procedures that would intensify co-operation between investors and the government in implementing various investment projects.
The conversationators have expressed readiness for further deepening of co-operation between MTI and EURZH, especially in empowering the KKHE secretary who is located at MTI
