The Kosovo government, at the meeting held today, has made the decision that all goods that have entered from Serbia on Kosovo territory before the 21st November of last year, when the tax issue has been made at 100%, be free of this tax.
The Government's announcement is said to have approved the government cabinet's decision to amend and fulfill Government decision No. 0176 of the date 21.11.2018, which excludes goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina that have been imported by the date 21.11 2018, and have been found under suspended customs procedures ( customs post, temporary import, customs processing and internal processing) with the case of release in free circulation.
“According to the report from Kosovo Customs, since 21.11.2018, goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia are not allowed to enter the Customs Depo for tax suspension, except indoors. And after the decision number 06/82, 28,12.2018, this ban applies to the international cores. By 12 December 13 December and 14 December, customs officials have physically checked over 95% of all these products and found that the same are available to business subjects, so they are stored in Customs Depo. These goods have deadlines standing in the Customs Depo 1 year from the date of being placed in the warehouse”, the Kosovo Government announced.
According to the license criteria for customs depots, the government says it is envisioned that any goods in import with the regime in customs depots be downloaded within a year from import dates, except for separate cases.
