A 16-year-old Syrian refugee who has remained disfigured during a bombing has been denied an American visa for a medical treatment in the United States due to a “travel stop” imposed by US President Donald Trump.
After she fled to Turkey, where she received her first medication, her 16-year-old settled with her family in Germany, but German doctors advised her to go to specialized doctors in the United States.
The event was reported by British “The Guardian”.
The girl has undergone 13 operations to treat the trauma caused by third - degree burns in her face, chest and arms.
The pediatric hospital in Boston had been placed in November 2018, and a volunteer agency from Massachusetts had provided a temporary residence for her and her father.
But the American government rejected the visa on December 20th, arguing that there was not enough evidence to prove that the girl would return to Germany.
The “Travel Prevention” prevents access to the American Territory of citizens from countries of Muslim majority between them and Syria.
