Vuciq opens in Reuters interview, shows what Serbia expects from agreement with Kosovo

In an interview for Reuters, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq speaks as never before of his leg, to reach an agreement between Serbia and Kosovo. It says that what it expects of this agreement is for Serbia to become a member of the EU in 2025. The stage of dialogue [...]
If we can reach any agreement with Pristina, Serbia should receive assurances that it will become a member of the European Union in 2025. So said Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, in an interview for Reuters, writes Periscopi.
Reuters writes that since 2016, when Pristina and Belgrade have launched dialogue, several agreements have been reached between the parties, but there is still no major progress.
There is a lot of difference between Pristina and Belgrade, but all should remember that most people want progress in dialogue, this is in the interest of the entire international community, but it is the greatest benefit for Serbs and Albanians”, Vuciq has said, broadcast Periscopi.
That's why I always tell Albanians that it's better to deal with each other because if we reach a deal about something it's much better than not doing anything”, Vuciq said.
Vuciq has said that as regards the new round of final dialogue talks, there are still no formal plans on the table, so all things remain to be discussed.
“We are negotiating”, says Vuciq, “initially we are talking about implementing the Brussels Agreement, we have a plan of how we will act, but we want to work on how Serbs and Albanians can live together in the future and overcome the difficulties that have”, he said.
I don't think we're close to reaching any agreement, but I consider as very serious the fact that we're trying and talking, we're giving our best of ourselves to reach an agreement and I'm absolutely pro-this”, Vuciq said about Reuters, writes Periscopi.
“I am trying to change the situation and solve a Serbia problem, which would give Serbia's citizens a better, real perspective, a more real future”, he says.
“No one should fear the agreement between Serbs and Albanians, no one in the region, that agreement will be for a stable region, for boosting peace, for a lasting peace, and which will affect economic development”, Vuciq points out.
“Let's try to compromise, so this would open up opportunities across the region, it would attract investments to one of the best parts of Europe”, he says.
Vuci in the Reuters interview, has said the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina will not affect anyone and that the entire region must feel calm and secure in the face of this./Periscopi/
