Haki Rugova, deputy chairman of LDK) has spoken after a statement by MP Vjosa Osmani that he supports Vetevendosje protests against President Hashim Thaci, who wants to dialogue in Brussels on the border issue with Serbia. Rugova for Periscope has said these are voices of individuals, but the stance of the Democratic League of Kosovo is as it stands.
I know there are public invitations made by individuals within our party, but they are voices of individuals and are not party positions, Rugova points out.
Osmani in her statement had said that support of the protest is only her stand, not the party's. While he had said that he supports the protest only on the condition that it be peaceful.
Meanwhile, Rugova has said his party does not view street protests as a solution, so rejecting the possibility of responding to Vetevendosje's invitation for protests.
The latter, today, has come up with a decision to call the LDK and organise protests against Thaci. But they won't seem to be able to find support.
We remember that the Kosovo Assembly has been trying to vote on Kosovo's partition for three days, but that's impossible because of lack of quorum.
Meanwhile, President Hashim Thaci is expected to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels tomorrow. One of the topics of discussion is expected to be the correction of the borders between the two states/Periscope.
