The announcement came shortly after US President Donald Trump announced additional tariffs of around $200 billion for Chinese goods.
US tariffs to take effect on 24 September, placing at a level of 10 percent by the end of the year. From 1 January 2019, the tariffs will be reported to 25 per cent.
