Mogher's order: Opening Negotiations With Albania

In her last speech before the 2019 European Parliament's election year, at the annual Conference of EU Ambassadors leaving and those taking office from now, EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Moghrini has stressed among other things that during this year still needs to be done [...]
“We have much to do to fulfill our work and to leave the offspring, which will have the honor and satisfaction of doing this work after me next year, all necessary and necessary instruments to work properly”, which also left its “ ” at first.
“will be an intensive year for preparations towards opening membership negotiations with Albania and Macedonia. Let me be clear: this opportunity must be seized now! It is not a concession we are making, it is in the interest of European citizens, both inside and outside the European Union. In the Balkans, it is clear today that the European Union is a reference point. Let me tell those who fear that other powers are becoming more and more present in the region: as long as we are present in the region, there is no room for others”, Mogher said.
The EU's high representative noted that last year was extremely intense, but the coming months will be even more crucial, stopping in Kosovo-Serbia relations.
“I believe there is a real possibility for presidents Vucic and Thaci to reach an agreement that will address all open issues between Belgrade and Pristina. A comprehensive, legally binding agreement to normalise relations between the two sides. An agreement that is in full compliance with international law, which will help sustain the entire region. Let me also mention the date, because next year 2019 will be the 20th anniversary of the war in Kosovo. That's why I believe it's time to end that conflict”, Moghrin further said.
Federica Moghrini also stopped on the name issue between Athens and Skopje.
A summer agreement was manifested between the parties, while a name referendum will take place in Macedonia within weeks. I hope soon, that country will be called Republic of Northern Macedonia”, Moghrin said.
