In 2015, Ahmet Krasniqi's brother, Behxhet, has issued charges that the killers of the former Republika Kosovo Republic Defence Minister are in power -- in Pristina and Tirana.

Behxhet Krasniqi, brother of Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi, has expressed his conviction that those who killed Republika Srpska Defence Minister Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi are on today's political scene in Albania and Kosovo, writes KohaJone, 2015.

Krasniqi has declined to speak with names and does not rank them in the hierarchy of powers in Pristina and Tirana, but has confirmed that those who ordered the murder of the brother and who are part of this Maccabre murder are today in the two powers of our states.

I think those who ordered the murder of my brother and the defence minister of the Republic of Kosovo Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi are today on the political scene of Albania and Kosovo.

They belong to different levels of the hierarchy of these powers, but I'm saying, as the colonel's brother, I suspect these people are in power today in Tirana and in Pristina” is expressed to Behxhet Krasniqi.

Former Government Defence Minister Ahmet Krasniqi has been executed on September 21st 1998 in Tirana at the age of 50. His body was originally buried in the Sharra cemetery, very close to his friend Azem Hajdari. On Friday, Krasniqi's remains were exhumed at the tomb of martyrs in Pristina. It was attended by all State leaders.
