Council Chairman Sheriff Fejzullahu said ZERE is playing for its interests. According to him, this is a big mistake and ZRE is using double standards.
This decision taken on August 20th is illegal, harmful. At rates of up to 13 per cent are allowed technical losses, but those above 13 should be compensated for work rather than charge consumer bills. This office should pull this decision”.
He has also asked the Kosovo Government and the mayors to protect citizens and consumer rights.
While ordering consumers to be alert, Kosovo Press writes.
“Today as the Council, we are gathered to raise our voices and burn the request to the prime minister. I ask the Government and the Prime Minister to serve the citizens... I ask the mayors to open offices where consumers can denounciate any evil and any surplus that is billed on their bills”, he said.
Selatin Kachanic, a member of the Consumer Protection Council, has also called the decision to cover KED's losses.
