Through a media report, police have said such statements and publications by whoever they are are not based and harmful for the country, as they impact tensions and create uncertainty among citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
Kosovo's “Police, as one of the main institutions for law enforcement, react to certain statements and publications, of some media/portals for allegedly including the Kosovo Police in different scenarios and for the sake of right and correct information, announces the country's citizens and the media that such statements and publications by everyone are unbased and harmful to the country, as they influence the growth of tensions and create uncertainty among citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
On the other hand, police have asked citizens to be careful and not to fall prey to these provocations.
“We confirm that the tasks of the Kosovo Police general authorisations are defined by the law on police, oriented in the protection of life, property and security delivery, defend fundamental rights and freedoms of all persons, guaranteeing free movement and expression for all citizens of the country indiscriminately, manage and control the state border, offers assistance during natural disasters and in other cases of emergency. Therefore, we encourage all, especially citizens not to fall prey to various deninforms and speculations, but to demonstrate confidence as thus far in the work of the Kosovo Police and its constitutional and legal commitment to order, calm and general security in the country”, the police say further in response.
On the issue last night, Vetevendosje MP Jedal Sfecla, who said he feared the north passing of the situation.
For this, Sfecla also cited Kosovo Police's sudden decision to cut off the vacation permit for police officials.
Reports of these scenarios come after continuing statements about the possibility of partitioning Kosovo and exchanging territories with a final agreement from dialogue with Serbia./Periscopi
