Early changes to the Bill on Salaries, in terms of wage and labor co-efficiency, have been rejected by municipal assembly members, as well as by the Association of Kosovo Communities (AKK), writes today “Koha Ditore”.
With these changes, the cofficiency between the time it was in public debate with the parties and when it went for approval in Government. Thus, while there was a compatibility for members to have a monthly salary of 325 euros, as well as the right of full pay at their workplace, this issue has been changed in Government and it has been left to KK members who have a salary from the country's institutions to have the right to receive only the minimum salary of 89 euros. Those who do not work in institutions should also have the right to receive a monthly salary of 239 euros.
But if the bill is to be adopted in that form, municipal municipalities warn boycotts of work. Their leaders say reducing the incomes of KK members will affect the degradation and quadric poverty of municipal assemblies.
Sahan Ibrahimi from the AKK has said that the basic salary of municipal assembly members has been significantly reduced compared to the controversial and dining bill with this institution.
“Even after the maximum commitment of the Kosovo Commission Association (AKK) through the Council of Chiefs and Professional Colleges, the basic wage of the member of the Communist Assembly will be 1.25, while the value of the cofficiency is 239 euros”, Ibrahimi said.
