This protest has been warned by the Kosovo Women's Network, following the murder of a woman and her daughter in Gjakova. The murder, allegedly committed by a 40-year-old husband.

On 13 August, in co-operation with RGK (Kosovo Women's Network), at 12:00 we march from the Gjakova Police Station to the Gjakova Court to oppose the murder of 40-year-old wife and daughter in Berkoc, Gjakova, and to seek responsibility from Kosovo institutions for this and many other cases of violence in Kosovo.
Individuals and activists from civil society, united/we seek to end violence and tell all institutions in Kosovo and Kosovo society our opposition with one single sentence: No more excuses.
This protest has been organised in response to double murder as a result of domestic violence in the Gjakova municipality. More on this occasion, you can read here:
Domestic violence is a crime, and it must be handled as such. Failure to offer protection to women and girls who report violence at the bottom to killing them by the traitors of violence.
