Thaci had expressed that stance over the time that he was discussed in the Kosovo Assembly for this part. Haziri has said that the Kosovo Assembly since 2013 had issued a Resolution for Eastern Kosovo.

Now President Thaci through a media conference said he wants respect for the 1992 referendum on uniting the Presevo Valley with Kosovo, insisting that Kosovo will remain inseparable -- so there will be no exchange of territories.

On the other hand, he has said that much of Eastern Kosovo -- the former Yugoslavia in 1956 -- has reorganized it, causing demographic change. According to him, by this act, the percentage of Albanians in Kosovo has been lowered and increasing the percentage of Serbs with the introduction of several villages of Leposavic and Zubin Potok in then-Kosovo within Kosovo.

Therefore, based on the Republic Parliament Resolution for Eastern Kosovo, which I sponsored in 2013 and has been adopted by consensus, we must work hard to advance the rights of Albanians there, respecting the right to referendum and harmonising with the international community. But Kosovo must be preserved in its entire body”, Haziri said.

He said the LDK's position on talks with Serbia has not changed.

“The LDK is not part of the dialogue with Serbia, and in this case neither am I. Our opposition stance is clear. We continue to exercise our task in the Assembly and in terms of dialogue, we have the formula: legitimacy before dialogue”, he told KALLXO.com.
