LDK reminds Thaci of consequences of ideas on exchange of territories, changes of borders

Avdullah Hoti, chairman of the LDK Parliamentary Group, has said that the verbal games such as “share territories” and “correction at borders” are in vain, but according to him, are costing us full stop of new recognitions.

Kosovo has been accepted independent state at the borders of 1989. There are over 110 countries that have known us on those borders. The opinion of the International Court of Justice takes into account those boundaries, and based on this opinion, we have been recognized by the most powerful and democratic states of the world. No one has the right to discuss the territory of Kosovo, because it would be in conflict with the will of the people of Kosovo for an independent state, proclaimed with the Declaration of Independence on February 17, 2018, and with the Constitution of Kosovo”, Hoti wrote.

The use of words like “Territorial exchange” or “correction of borders” is damaging Kosovo's position in the international arena, Hoti estimates.

The idea that this issue can be discussed in dialogue with Serbia has brought out of its function all of Kosovo's diplomacy. Today, no international meeting or forum is discussed with new recognitions to come to Kosovo, because Kosovo's institutional leaders have given signals that they will review Kosovo's territorial integrity. This is unforgivable and will be punished by Kosovo citizens”, Hoti has praised.
