Among other things, it has become known that debt has been created because Government has not repaid the losses Posta has suffered during the universal postal service delivery from 2013 to today

Financial losses in the universal postal service are said to have been confirmed by compound organs.

Full announcement from Kosovo Post:

The Kosovo Post Management has been addressed with a letter to the Government of Kosovo last week, in line with the law, to pay off the debt worth about 5m euros as soon as possible.

This debt has been created because the government has not repaid the losses Posta has suffered during the delivery of universal postal service from 2013 to today. This postal service is obliged to carry out throughout Kosovo's entire territory, despite losses, meanwhile, the Government is obliged by law to cover financial losses.

During offering this service, Kosovo's Post has created more expenses than revenues due to low fees to send remittances. Simple letter for 0.40 euros must be sent to Kosovo's deepest villages.

Covering losses of 4,947,097.18 The Euro public company Kosovo Posta is looking to the government for years.

Financial losses in the universal postal service have also been confirmed by competent organs such as the Private Master, the Foundation Court in Pristina, the Foreign Auditor, as well as ARKEP (The Electronic and Postal Communication Regulatory Authority).

Do not cover this service, it will put the Kosovo Post in an unaffordable financial situation where the execution of salaries for employees as a legal obligation will not be done, and it will cause serious problems both in the company's normal operation.

Posta has asked the Government to write off its debt to the Post within August because there is no reason for further procrastination.
