Serbian Forum for Ethnic Relations Chairman Dusan Janjic has told the Serbian newspaper Danas that Serbs from northern Kosovo are packing their luggage due to the threat of war.
He has stressed that Bishop Teodosije and the Diocese of Raska and Prizren, who came under the shock of government representatives after expressing their stance on resolving the Kosovo issue, throughout all processes of domestic dialogue and public debates, has been very cautious.
“Well, now when the clear idea of it has been noted that Serbian power wants the division of Kosovo, or at least the exchange of territories, it has been declared that way, which answers the Church because it deals with people. Warn people in ecstasy, and that's okay. Because, where there are no people, there is no church, while it is competent for Kosovo in this regard”, Janijq points out, broadcasts Insander.com.
Janzic has confirmed Bishop Teodosije's claims that the eventual division or exchange of territories would cause Serb ecstasy, but claims that the exodus would have first begun in northern Kosovo.
Serbian politicians do not understand Kosovo Serbs. Nor do they understand what separation means in practice. It means increasing the possibility of conflict. This is not a simple thing. Serbs in the north have already packed their bags, they know very well that the conflicts come when the territory is divided or exchanged”, says Janjic.
He explains that living this desire of Serbian authorities for partition or exchange is actually not real.
These are all rotations. The exchange of territories or division brings opportunity for war, no matter what alleged agreements. And neither the US nor the EU would agree to that. This would not happen if, say, both Serbia and Kosovo, or all Western Balkan countries were in NATO. Since this is not, therefore, considering that this condition has not been met, the accounts of divisions and exchanges are completely false”, claims Dusan Janjic.
