Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, during his visit to Camp Bonsteel, has commented on the declaration of Decani Monastery priest Sava Janjaq, that there are scenarios for partitioning Kosovo, saying there is no threat to partition.
During this visit, the prime minister also met with the commander of this camp, Nick Ducich with whom he has thanked American soldiers for the contribution made to Kosovo, until he stressed that Camp Bondsteel is a hope and guarantee of peace in Kosovo.
The executive head regarding Serb members removed from the KSF said Serbs living in Kosovo are people of Kosovo, and as institutions should guarantee security and peace for all.
As for the Sava statement, I think this adds to the debate. The rhetoric to discuss borders or territories in the Balkans is a fear, so everyone is afraid of it, I believe so far they are just existing rhetoric, no threat. All Kosovars should feel secure and live safely in Kosovo, Kosovo Serbs are people of Kosovo, they have their own homes in their own country and we are all here to ensure security and a peaceful living for all”, Haradinaj said.
While the commander of Camp Bonsteel, Nick Ducich, the removal of members of the Serb community from the KSF has seen it as a mistake on Serbia's part.
“As for Serbs at KSF, I personally believe it is wrong to have the pressure to leave the KSF, they have learned great skills and I think they have assumptions here in Kosovo, perhaps to raise the family and most importantly to stay in Kosovo because of employment opportunities and to serve all the people of Kosovo. I expect that the Kosovo Serbs with whom I talked to the KSF will stay because of the reason they want to have their families here, want to stay and raise their children with joy in Kosovo and still serve those skills they get by being part of KSF”, he said.
Ducich during this meeting has restored the support it will provide the KSF for its development, though he has estimated that their skills as KSF are demonstrating every day.
