How the government of Belgrade is shaking Kosovo Serbs' teeth

Long ago, the bishop of Raska and Prizren, Teodosije, had sent open letters to Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, in which he had written that partitioning territories would cause the expulsion of Serbs from Kosovo and disaster for cultural heritage. Serbian President Vuciq has accused the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo of not wanting ethnic borders, while it demands money from the Kosovo government.

The Serbian List was also in defense of Vuciki.

The latter has also called Kosovo Serb politician Momcilo Trajkoviq <x0intellectual, who lies and hits its negotiating team”, because Trajkovic had said that Vuci has failed to fulfil any of the promises he has given Kosovo Serbs.

Momcilo Trajkovic has stressed that the monopoly on the political representation of Kosovo Serbs from the Serb List has impressed all voices expressing the opposite opinion with that of this party.

“has created a powerful monopoly and there is no one around it or it's hard to penetrate and give personal thought. But this is not a monopoly, which the Serbian List itself created. First of all, I think in Belgrade, the authorities in Belgrade with the help and authority in Kosovo, because without an agreement and reconciliation of Kosovo authorities, the Serbian List could not function in the way it works. So, the Serbian List is the product of the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, directly between Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq and Kosovo's Hashim Thaci”, Trajkovic stressed.

Randjel Nojrik, former Kosovo assembly members from the Serb community, says Belgrade is holding this monopoly firmly under the pipe of control to prevent its plans from hampering anyone from politicians or even other Kosovo Serb intellectuals.

I think that at this moment, when it comes to Serbian representatives, trueness reigns here, and here anyone who thinks otherwise will be punished. We are witnesses, when a few months ago Vuciq invited all political actors to get involved in finding a solution, thinking that everyone thinks the way he thinks. At the moment he heard the voices that were opposed and that did not match the things Vuciq thought about, they immediately followed the” sentences.

“Such losses were first addressed to the Serbian Orthodox Church. Now, imagine when the political leader starts to spit on the Serbian Orthodox Church. In Kosovo no one dares say anything other than what is Belgrade's official policy”, Nokjic said.

Meanwhile, Trajkovic says that the behaviour of the Serbian List, which according to him are a reflection of the behaviours of official Belgrade, commemorates the times of former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in the 1990s, when the Council for Kosovo of the Socialist Party of Serbia, as a protracted hand of power in Belgrade, disciplined those who thought otherwise.

I remember that time, when Bishop Artemis, the Church and I with the Serbian Resistance Movement, sometime in 1998, were actually the main target of the attacks, accusing us of treason and co-operation with foreign intelligence services. After 20 years we have the new version, so the Serbian List, which plays that role, tries to discipline and accuse Church, in this case Bishop Teodosije and us from the Serbian National Forum, along with those of the Qaeda Association in Mitrovica. It's all the same and similar”, Trajkovic said.

However, it has criticised much of the Serbian media, which, as he said, are avoiding people who can give thought and other options from those of the Serbian List and official Belgrade.

Nokia says that among Kosovo Serb politicians, there are many who have a completely different opinion from the Serbian List and official Belgrade. But, according to him, their voices will remain fixed as long as the monopoly on political representation of Kosovo Serbs gets the Serbian List, conducted by official Belgrade.

Such intellectuals exist even further in Kosovo, but they are in total darkness, considering that even the media are unwilling to hear those voices, either avoid conversations with people who have their own opinions.
