“At the time when both sides are fully engaged together with the EU High Representative, in determining a legally binding agreement for full normalisation, the EU expects the way the two presidents have agreed during the latest high-level dialogue meeting on July 18th in Brussels, to have no tensions on the ground which would endanger the common goal of normalisation of relations,” is said in a press communique by the EU High Representative Office, Federica Mogher.
Such a call has come after the media in Kosovo and Serbia are reporting potential tensions in the country's north over the weekend.
According to them, this is related to the handing over the first draft of the Association Act of Serb majority municipalities, expected to be ready on August 4th (Saturday), when the management team formed on the issue, is expected to send it to Brussels.
“We understand that work (for the draft) is continuing. At the same time, the EU continues to work with both sides to ensure implementation of this agreement and all other agreements reached in the facilitated dialogue by the European Union”, the communiqué said.
