Border changes are being discussed in Kosovo. The formation of the Association of Serb majority municipalities and finalisation of the Kosovo-Serbia agreement are the final issues the parties involved in the dialogue are expected to find out about.

The sides met last month in Brussels, and the Kosovo president called that meeting the most difficult, difficult for the last six years.

Thaci continued with such statements even after returning to Kosovo, saying the coming weeks and months will be serious in understanding dialogue.

While in Serbia they are still talking about Kosovo as part of it, which even Serbian institutional representatives say at meetings in Brussels, President Thaci rejects the idea of partitioning Kosovo along ethnic lines to resolve disputes with Serbia.

He has declared that he is open to discuss a correction of borders in the negotiations under way with Serbia, with the European Union's mediation.

Sava Janjzic, the Serbian Orthodox priest, has also spoken of divisions and unrest, giving the alarm that information on a coordinated scenario is being circulated, under which the situation would be provoked so that its escalation could lead to division.

He has called on all sides, including the international factor and KFOR, to eliminate such an outcome, which would be a major step back for Kosovo and the region.

“Many disturbing information is being circulated, including for a co-ordinated scenario in northern Kosovo, which would provoke reactions to both sides to lead Kosovo towards partition. KFOR remains committed to peace, but people are concerned about their future. It is important that these scenarios be dismissed as untrue from all sides”, writes Janjic.

“I strongly hope that the international community, especially the US and the EU, will not tolerate irresponsible individuals, or groups, on both sides, provoke violence, from which innocent people can be hurt and valuable monuments damaged, as in 2004. This would be a huge step back for Kosovo and the region. The dialogue should be turned into frames which all citizens guarantee security and respect for the rights”, the priest's writing continues.

While Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said the Serbian clergy's statements that there are plans for partitioning Kosovo are unstable and are only speculation.

“American soldiers have done good work in Kosovo and I have come here to thank the American soldiers for their contribution”, Haradinaj said, the statement given among KFOR soldiers during his visit to Camp Bondsteel.

Otherwise, it was announced yesterday that Kosovo Police members will not be able to take their vacation from August 1st. Such a decision is due to operational planning.

Kosovo police have not indicated what operations they are talking about, only have they said they do not relate to such statements of unrest in Kosovo.

Police spokesman Daut Hoxha has confirmed this news to Kosovo Prees, showing that the decision comes as a consequence of operational planning.

Kosovo's “Police, according to its operational planning, also take action to plan its human resources for carrying out official tasks more effectively”, Hoxha has said in a short written answer via telephone for KosovaPress.

We remember that August 4th was the last date when the statute of Association of Serb-run municipalities should be drafted, according to the European Union's request.

The first signing of the Kosovo-Serbia agreement in Brussels took place in April 2013, then Hashim Thaci prime minister of Kosovo and Serbia's Ivica Dacic signed the 15-point agreement, with the aim of normalising relations between the two countries.

The April 19th agreement, among other things, contains points that talk about the Association of Serb majority municipalities and the dissolution of parallel structures in veri.
