ELKOS laments AKP's decision to sentence 1.300,000 euros

Elkos has announced that the dispute between the Kosovo Privatisation Agency and Elkos Group Company over financial punishments applied in the case of the privatisation of the New Company “Famipa” be revised and resolved outside the court's confrontation.

“Elkos Group, seeing that the AKP has not been ready for such a decision to be revised, on the 10th.08th.2018th has exploited its legal right by complaining to the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
“Elkos Group will use all legal means to counter such a decision by not excluding the Arbitrazhi Court, as it is convinced that the verdict has not been fair and argued, and that in the end justice will be on its side”, it is said in the media communiqué issued by Elkos.
“Elkos Group considers that the decision taken by the AKP has seriously damaged the reputation of the company and the country's economy in general, and in terms of this Elkos Group will require responsibility and compensation for all damage caused to”.
“Sic even exists dozens of cases so far, when because of the non-legal decisions and the irresponsibilities of some officials of various institutions, a major damage has been done to the Republic of Kosovo budget”, Elko's communiqué concludes.
The AKP had sentenced Elkos to a fine of one million and 300 thousand euros.
The AKP had argued the sentence with “the contract's contents for the firm Famipaı from Prizren.
The decision was made at the AKP board meeting.
Elkos in 2011 had purchased from the Kosovo Privatisation Agency “Famipa”, one of the most popular companies in the time of the former Yugoslavia.
