After commending the president for being the best for dialogue, Thaci calls Daci for coffee

President Hashim Thaci has met with President Nexhat Daci.
As Thaci reports, he informed Daci of the performance of dialogue and the findings that everyone should take responsibility in dialogue.

Today, I held a fine meeting with the chairman of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts, Nexhat Daci. We talked about the current developments Kosovo is going through. I informed Chief Academy Daci of the performance of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. It was common agreement that in this process we all have to take responsibility: institutions, parliamentary political parties, opposition, civil society, the Academy, etc. Only united can we realise our goals: mutual recognition of Kosovo, Serbia, is sitting in the UN, as well as membership in all other international organisations. Serbia's claim to partition Kosovo will always be unacceptable, but within the framework of border correction must be exercised, in the process of dialogue, now the request and right of the Presevo Valley to join Kosovo. Otherwise, days ago, Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts Chairman Nedzat Daci has praised that President Hashim Thaci is the right person to lead negotiations in the dialogue with Serbia.
“I have said many times after Rugova's death, it is inconsistent for the current position, for the position of chief negotiator, or delegation leader”.
There is an equivalence of positions in the final negotiations or interstate negotiations. If the most powerful side, in this case, is Serbia, then the president has the lead neither Kosovo nor internationals can change Serbia's position. But even if they were able to change it, I'm telling you with deep conviction, full devotion, I think the president should lead negotiations, but not alone, and without a pre-assembled concept”.
