Ceca's interview indicating that it has stood with the Arkin in Pogradec, Thaci today mentions this fact to Berisha

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has accused former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha of sheltering the Albanian killer, Akati. He has not given much explanation for the charge, but it seems Thaci has referred to an interview of singer Ceca published several months ago. These charges of Thaci to Berisha come after [...]
These charges of Thaci to Berisha come after the latter's stance against Thaci's idea of exchange of territories.
Arkan's wife's interview:
Ceca, the Serbian singer whose real name is Svjetlana Raznatovic, wife of the criminal Arkan, claims that she was with the Albanian Gazette that she was with the Arkin in Albania. In January 2000, Arkan is killed by an ambush in the lobby of a three - star hotel in downtown Belgrade.
Later, Ceca was arrested along with 318 other people, accused of being the key suspect who had sheltered Milorad Lukovovic, former special chief of “Red Beret” and his friend Dusan Spasojevic, who had housed them shortly before Djindjic's assassination, the then Serbian prime minister. Ceca is also accused of helping the family of another suspect in the criminal group with money.
In these conditions, 50 masked and automatic commandos surrounded her house near “FK Obilic”, Gospodara Vuvica 120 in Belgrade. Police seized a large quantity of military equipment at the singer's house. But, though investigations showed that Ceca had been in contact with two suspects prior to Djindjic's murder, it was later released. From the interview given for the Albanian “Gaseta”, Voal is cutting off the part in which it claims that, along with the Arfin, they have visited Albania:
They say you've been in Pogradec with the Criterion, how true is that?
Ceca: Could it be called a visit to that resort village of Toasty and then a tour of the city of Pogradec without falling out of the car...? You'll forgive me if I don't remember the exact date, but it was June 1996, and I was in Ohrid with the Arkin, in the company of a powerful dealer from Macedonia's Debar, Petrit Hamo, but unfortunately after a while he was killed and I was very sorry about that. So there were three of us, me and Arkan and that businessman from Debar, Petrit Hamo, who Arkan was very friendly. It was the idea of a dibran businessman Petrit to go to St. Naum. Then he offered us a proposal, cross the border, and have lunch at the first village as soon as it passed customs. Arkan did not want at first, but after the businessman's insistence that it was a beautiful village and the roof of that rare fish, Coran, we agreed.
You weren't afraid and how did you get into Albania?
Ceca: Arkan was very cautious in the movement, but then he was persuaded to use another passport, not by his real name but by another name; I also had a reserve passport with other identities. We left our luxury car at St. Nahum's Monastery and crossed the border with an ordinary jeep of the Ohrid license plates. In fact, this whole route was the idea of Arkan. We crossed the border smoothly, with passports of other identities and entered Tushemish, a beautiful village, which was put on the banks of the lake. It seemed a clean Oriental village and very virgin. We went into a bar right near the border, which had a large lot of water with fish. It was beautiful, someone who served told us to sit at the table where Enver Hoxha stood for the relief. There we sat under a shaded tent among the surrounding trees, having water and fish at our feet. We've been eating a pant, which I'll remember for a long time. The fish was caught in our eye in the poolhouse, and it cooks them for us. We enjoyed it, a real relief! Then we took a walk through town by car but without leaving. I was told “this is Pogradec, a beautiful town”, but it seemed poor, with pit roads and some unspoiled uniform buildings. Then we left. I even took a lot of pictures from that bar, which was taken by the businessman from Debra. We left in the afternoon. It was a real vacation.
How did former Prime Minister Besnik Sana investigate the entrance of the Arkain to Tusshire?
The former chief of the Pogradec Police Commissioner in 2002, Besnik Sana, a true professional, had just been appointed to Pogradec, began investigating this event that circulated in Tussetish in the form of a rumor. Some young men in Tosshemish had met Ceca, as they were worshipers of Serbian music and especially of this singer, as Serbian channels had been followed since the years '70s very clean in this area, without even having to have an antenna. This rumor led Commissioner Sana to investigate this event by controlling the documentation in the Tushemian customs. One evening, drinking coffee in Tusete, I am friendly with Commissioner Besnik Sana, as far as he'd gone with the Arkin and Ceca. Smile: “Don't rush to publish it in the newspaper, because I'm trying to find photos that will come to me from the Macedonian Debar by the relatives of Petrit Hamos, who's been with the Comings and Ceca, and then it's going to be complete, that the transition here in customs has been done by other names”, he told me. But not until six months later, Commissioner Besnik Sana was transferred from Pogradec, and the mystery of that event remained in my mind. This forced me to ask Cecca and get the above answer from her. G US/File 2010
