Over two thousand businesses register for three months in Kosovo

According to the AKS, compared to the same quarter of 2017, the number of registered businesses increased by 17.8 per cent, as compared to the previous quarter, by 3.1 per cent.
Even in this quarter, trade is the main activity for the number of registered businesses.
The most popular economic goals in this quarter were trade with 723 registered companies or 27.4 percent, production of 299 companies or 11.3 percent, acomoting and food service activities with 277 companies or 10.5 percent, construction with 260 companies or 9.9 percent, agriculture, forest and fishermanship with 198 companies or 7.5 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities with 170 companies registered or 6.4 per cent, while other activities participate on a smaller scale<> are said to be ASC's report, the ASC.
As for the number of workers, 96.2 percent are those businesses that have between 1 and 4 employees.
“In the category of 1 to 4 employed are 2,537 companies registered in this quarter or 96.2 per cent, with 5 to 9 employed are 61 Sosh or 2.3 per cent, 10 to 19 employed 25 or 0.9 per cent, 20 to 249 employed by 13 or 0.5 per cent, while in the category of 250 and more employed there are no companies registered during this quarter<1>, the report follows.
The Pristina region follows to have the largest number of businesses registered in this quarter.
“As far as the geographical alignment of registered companies at the level of municipalities, as each quarter dominates the Pristina municipality with 660 registered companies or 25.1 percent, Ferizaj by 233 per cent by 8.9 per cent, Prizren at 194 per cent, Gjilan with 159 per cent, Peja with 153 per cent, Gjakova with 102 per cent, while other municipalities have the lowest number of companies registered in this three-month <18x> the report concludes.
