Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, reports Beta, has said statements of the return of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, do not represent the position of the Government of Serbia, but are his personal position regarding resolving the Kosovo issue.
The Serbian prime minister's reaction comes after Dicicic's statement that Pristina's “maximum-rated goals, which, along with recognition, also require Presevo and Bujanocin, are the main obstacle to resolving the Kosovo issue”, Telegrafi explains.
She stressed that expressing personal thoughts does not concern Serbia's Government, and added that different positions have been heard since the opening of internal dialogue on Kosovo.
According to Prime Minister Brnabiq, the Serbian government still does not have an official stance on Kosovo, and added it would be once it has a concrete proposal on the table.
She noted that Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq is doing everything to find a solution and praised that “the frozen conflict” should not be left to future generations.
“I don't think a solution is near, but the president is trying to see this problem from all angles to find something that can bring Serbia back who doesn't, respectively, to lose as little as possible, and to get as many”, the prime minister said.
She added that it is not only up to President Vuciq and the support of the Government of Serbia, but also to how much they are willing in Pristina to talk openly about compromise.
