Prescients have said that parts of continental Europe will record the hottest temperatures of all time this week.
Parts of southwestern France will also be affected by the intense heat wave, while Great Britain will be warmer.
Reports show that 27 of the country's 50 provinces are at great risk from the start of heating Thursday.
They advised people to take precautions such as staying out of the sun and drinking plenty of water.
