Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has indicated that in the next five years, he will deal with regulation of the sewers in the capital.
According to him, this will be done to avoid floods that are taking place because of rainfall.
Ahmeti said works to be done on the channeling network are costly, and for that reason he said he expects the help of the Government of Kosovo.
These statements have been made by the head of Pristina at a conference presenting infrastructure projects in 2018.
The next five years Pristina will deal very much with sewers, which are not projects that seem to be underground, but are very important for our city. After the water runs out, we're going to focus on the sewer. These are expensive projects, I hope we will have the government's help to finance a portion of the collectors, because the Government has signed a contract with the French government to build the Pristina region's sewage treatment plant, which will deal with all the sewage. But I said that you started back there without the collectors I don't know what you're gonna treat there. The idea is to finalise all collectors in order to have the” factory, Ahmeti said.
On this issue, Capital Investments Director Gzim Mehmeti said that in January all projects will be sent to the prosecutor for work start in the spring.
He also made known the ways to work on the channeling network that are more priority.
There are four neighborhoods where we have detected them based on complaints and problems that we have to deal with the streets at aegim Ramadani unless the former Dubrovnik road is now called "Gazmend Zaymi." There we're going to complete the regulation of fecal channeling because we've come to the conclusion that water is transported and in the squares, we're going to eliminate the water coming to the square. Also, in Pyton, we're going to complete the channeling arrangement and at the neighborhood station: ”, he announced.
Mayor Ahmeti has announced that the preliminary phase of the pre-qualification of the underground parking at the Faculty of Philology has passed, where six consortiums have been selected.
Now according to Ahmeti, there is only to be announced the tender, and at the moment the winner will be announced, the works will begin where the works are concerned, he said they could begin by the end of this year.
We're already moving into the tender phase, and the moment we announce the winner by the end of the year, we can start the works that will last 18 months for building the underground parking lot that has the minimum 500 parking lot, but it could go up to 900 depending on the offers already unqualified and meet the standards that we've asked for, which have been to have minimum profit profit 7 million euros per last three years, all of them have adial statements. So, we're talking about serious companies so we don't have any problems”, he said.
Ahmeti has indicated that problems in performing the works are causing the procurement law, which is forcing them to go at the lowest price even when they know that some companies are unable to complete the project they receive.
Our “Brengue that we currently have with the procurement law and also with the functioning of some of the institutions that force us ready that we always go at the lowest price even when we know that companies are not able to complete that project. Too often we've been looking for O The E.P.E. For some companies to be put on the blacklist, they either don't go in or when the company comes in they close and open by another name. Then, the same companies apply, when we don't choose them complain in the OSHO and usually win and then we face delays because companies simply don't have the capacity to complete a” project, he said.
For a similar reason Ahmeti said he has submitted the demand for the break of the contract with the company that has been contracted to complete the work at ʹKorizi.
The head of Pristina announced that in the municipality's 2019 plans, there is also the establishment of a municipal mining company, which he claims are having problems with companies that are taking the tenders on the issue.
Also, it became known that in September the competition for the design of the concert hall will be opened, which Ahmeti said in all likelihood her building will take place where the Kosovo Tax Administration is currently.
Several infrastructure projects have been presented at this conference, which have been completed and are working since January until now. /M. Duraku.
