He has said he hopes dialogue “will provide real compromise solutions with Kosovo by respecting peace and stability”, Italian media quoted the Vatican's number two as saying, Koha.net reports.
Meanwhile, according to a statement by the Serbian government, Parolin, during his meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, he has thanked Cardinal Parrol for not recognising the state of Kosovo.
Vuciq, according to the media statement, has told Parolini that Serbia is seeking peaceful solutions with Kosovo, “but wants to protect its national interests”.
The Kosovo issue has also been the focus of discussion at the Parolini meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabiq.
Vatican State Secretary of State has said talks between the two countries are important “to preserve cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo”.
