Prime Minister Edi Rama in Korca confirmed this, talking about launching talks, said the government did what it could, accusing the opposition again.
According to the executive leader, the opposition tries to show Albanians the form of a big lie as if it were a bitter truth.
“The truth is simple Albania received from the EU the unconditional positive recommendation to open negotiations immediately. Even if the decision had been made to open negotiations immediately, a date would be set. That could be in December or June, on the condition of launching the preparation process, as talks do not begin tomorrow”, Rama said.
According to the prime minister, this decision was “a way to facilitate the ratio of countries opposed with their public opinions, which were not easy for you to say would open negotiations with two Balkan countries”.
Referring to the preparation process for launching talks, Rama stressed that “all this process is European statehood”.
