LDK MP Arben Gashi has said the LDK is for dialogue and that this concept has had this party for many years.
He has said he must know who has constitutional obligation to lead these negotiations.
“We have following several statements by the prime minister, who has said he is not ready or capable of leading these negotiations because he has not dealt with these topics. He as prime minister is in charge of the job. It is not a matter of will or desire, this task is untransmittable to any prime minister, whoever he is”, the LDK deputy has said.
Gashi has said that Kosovo has representative institutions, and those institutions should take responsibility.
This responsibility is imposed by the people's votes, so it cannot be shared with certain civil society organisations. The chosen institutions of the people take responsibility, if they are unable to assume this responsibility, should show this inability”, Gashi has declared further.
He has welcomed the contribution of civil society, but decision-making for dialogue must be met with constitutional institutions.
“Civil society can be facilitating dialogue, but not as decision-makers. It cannot make decisions on behalf of constitutional institutions”, Arben Gashi has further said.
