Over the past 48 hours, Tirana's Road Police have suspended 39 driver's license for speed beyond allowed rates.
“Speeds ranging from 140 km/h to the extreme of 223 km/h agreed on over the weekend, where drivers have been punished with administrative measures for OAS for suspending Command Line”, State Police reported.
Albanian police report that the goal is not administrative, but the prevention of accidents/saving lives as a result of this irresponsability of the drivers, who by driving vehicles of recent years, do not respect any traffic rate on the road.
Tirana's Road Police will add even more to the controls aimed at increasing road safety parameters and appealing for more accountability in driving the vehicle.
