Symbolic action milk farmers with palm oil

The Association of Kosovo Milky Farmers today has held a symbolic protest activity at the Food and Veterina Agency, MTI, the Kosovo Assembly, the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Agriculture, placing them at the door of the entrance of these objects from a bag of 20kg of palm oil with free palm palm palm writing from the Farmer's Association”.

This symbolic action is done under the International Milky Day and in recognition of the high degree import of palm oil, for risking citizens' health, and for the non-combatal competition in the market with this product.

Red Trust chairman of the Farmers' Association said within a year 2 million litres of palm oil are imported to Kosovo and presented as carcinogenic and genotoxic.

The number of farms since it was three four years ago, about 30 to 40 percent is smaller. We confirm this in view that we know the amount of milk that our milk has accumulated and how much they accumulate in modern times. So the amount of milk is very low, in this respect there are also job losses”, Red said.

Likewise, Ramadan Memaj chairman of the Kosovo Milkys Association, who has attended the protest, has said Kosovo authorities should stop importing palm oil as Albania has recently acted to prevent palm oil.

A kind of decision has come to Albania to ban products containing palm oil content, where all business operators are called on to pull out of the market from all products, which have palm oil content and we demand that the Kosovo government also follow such an example so that Kosovo market can be cleared of products which are destroying the milk industry and the health of Kosovo citizens, Memaj said.

Otherwise, their demand to stop the import and sale of palm - oil milk products has been made in years past.
