While regarding the addition of illegal immigrants, he has underlined that he will build fences and walls.
Rama says Albania deserves the opening of negotiations, but on the other hand, discusses and is surprised that Europe challenges its own goals. Further, the prime minister says he believes in the spirit of Europe.
I don't understand how this machine that costs billions to draw detailed reports can challenge its objectives. Of course, I know there are member states that have internal problems, but I strongly believe in the spirit of Europe. And in the spirit of Europe there is a strict and fair approach, so so so far the approach has been strict and I hope it is not unfair. ”- said Rama.
Another hot topic remains illegal immigration, where more recently, the list has been added and the passage of migrants through Albania. About 100 people have passed through Albanian territory in the last 10 days alone. Rama said that he does not personally believe in physical barriers.
I don't believe in physical barriers, I believe in the barrier of cooperation between states and people. So if this barrier is well combined, then everything is very good and if it's done properly not only protects the boundaries but also respects the dignity of people”.
Statistics show that the number of refugees crossing the border from Greece to Albania and then towards Central Europe is 14 times higher in proportion to last year.
