Following the 6-year escape in Sweden, refusing to hold a three-year prison sentence in Kosovo, former Kacanik Mayor Jabir Zharku says he has returned to develop the country's economy.
Jabir Zharku, former Kacanik leader, considers he has implemented the court's decision with the fact that for six years he could not return to Kosovo, but, he says, has been forced to stay in Sweden.
He has been sentenced to three years in prison in Kosovo, which he has never held, but insists that the justice bodies' decision has been unfair, so he has decided not to respond to them.
I've been holding the sentence, because the Law says either you should go to jail or you should be away. I have met all those conditions, since I have stayed six years away from Kosovo, where I have been sentenced to three years in prison”, Zaku said during an interview for “Zerin”.
He explains that after his return to his homeland the priority has Kosovo's economic development.
