Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has said the president's institution, is a host of institutional responsibilities, which in this case, according to him, could also meet the leadership of dialogue with Serbia.
But he has said the government is open to proposals that may come from political parties. He says that if necessary, the newly put platform for the talks will come back, if not, it can completely be removed or a form of how Kosovo can appear on the platform.
It's also the institution of the president, as an instigation bearer. Now we're open to a proposal that can come from political parties if need arises, we can restore a platform, if not even without a platform, if Kosovo has found a form of presentation in dialogue. We don't think it's just government sites, it's parliament's duty. I have assured the MPs several times that I want to be given the topic, now we expect initiatives that could come from parliament”, Haradinaj said, writes Periscopi.
Otherwise, Kosovo Assembly deputies have voted to be removed from the platform agenda of talks with Serbia.
Meanwhile, the Democratic League of Kosovo has said it will not vote at all on this platform, since according to them, it is inconsistent.
The “Platform for dialogue, presented in the Kosovo Assembly by the Government of Kosovo, is a poorly prepared, unserried document with unconstitutional claims. Consequently, the LDK will not vote the platform in question. The LDK remains committed to a serious, consensual dialogue process and within the constitutional frameworks of the Republic of Kosovo. The LDK believes in the irreplaceable values of political dialogue, not only as a tool for agreement, but also as a quality of political life”, the statement issued by the LDK said.
This is the complete document that the LDK calls inconsistent and where it is envisioned for Thaci to lead the dialogue:
Being committed to building a lasting peace in the region, and for good neighbourly relations with all countries in the region,
Taking into account the political unity that exists in Kosovo for the quick membership of Kosovo in the UN, the European Union and the NATO Pact,
Reconfirming that the Republic of Kosovo respects international agreements and acknowledging the importance of their implementation in compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and its decisions;
The government of the Republic of Kosovo has approved the proposal for the state-run platform for finalising dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia for normalising relations between the two states, which is proceeding with the Republic of Kosovo's Assembly for further review:
State platform
For finalising dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, for normalising relations between two states
The Kosovo Republic Assembly insists that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should be concluded with an internationally binding legal agreement through which mutual recognition should occur between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo estimates that the signing of the internationally binding legal agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia will enable the full normalisation of relations between the two neighbouring states, respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo strongly supports the EU's extenuating role and US support for achieving the internationally binding legal agreement, as well as ensuring its comprehensive implementation.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo estimates that the internationally binding legal agreement will enable the Republic of Kosovo membership in the UN, and in all other international relevant organisations in which it is not member.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo estimates that the internationally binding legal agreement will deepen Kosovo's membership process in the NATO Pact and the EU.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo confirms that the president of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Delegation, which will be established in co-ordination with the entire political spectrum, in full respect of political unity in the country, are authorised to hold talks on reaching the international legal agreement binding.
The Kosovo delegation to talks on normalising relations with Serbia, given the circumstances and needs that will be sought by the EU, could also be represented by other representatives of Kosovo institutions.
The president of the Republic of Kosovo is obliged to report on the regular grounds of the Kosovo Assembly, the lines of dialogue between the delegations of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo is the supreme authority, which will ratify the internationally binding legal agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia. /Periscopi/
