The case against Wilhelm Carl Friedrich Hoffman, a former SS corporate, is the 11th attempt to bring the former German Nazi to justice.
He allegedly served a team of killers in Ukraine, and is known to have been participants in the Babi Yar massacre, where 34, 000 people were massacred. On September 29, and September 30, 1941, this terrible event had taken place.
It is the third case Germany has been targeting people believed to have been members of the killing squads.
