Save the Children's Organization today published the International Children's Day report “Many expelled children”, where Albania ranks 77 out of 175 countries worldwide.
This position shows that there are still children in Albania who have lost their childhood.
Albania is the country with the highest infant mortality rate in the region, 13.5 deaths per thousand births.
Albania has the highest rate in the region for delaying child rearing, 23.1 percent of children 0-5 years old.
Nearly 8.5 of Albanian children are outside the low and middle education system.
Some 5.1 percent have been involved in hard work.
Married teens or co - living are 6.5 percent, and 21.8 are born children.
Given these indicators, Albania has the lowest rankings compared to countries in the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina at 39th, Serbia at 46th, Montenegro at 53rd, Macedonia at 66th and Albania at 77th place.
“Save the Children” urged the government to ensure that no child dies from preventable or treatable causes or submits to violence.
No child will be robbed of the future due to malnutrition, forced early marriage, early pregnancy or forced labor, but children will be allowed access to quality education and offered opportunities to develop their potential” in the “Save the Children's statement on June 1st.
