The head of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, Kadri Veselin, today, at the table for violent extremism and the return of foreign fighters, held in Tirana at the dawn prayer corner, has said Kosovo stands out for preventative measures of youth participation in terrorist activities and foreign wars.
In his speech to the audience, in quality of the panel, Chairman Wessel cited a series of concrete measures Kosovo has taken in the legal treatment of suspicious cases. In this context, Wessel cited approval by the Law Assembly for preventing joining armed conflicts outside the country and for preventing funding terrorist organisations.
Returning to the generation of this problem in Kosovo, Mayor Wessel recalled the trends of various organisations for indoctrinating young people immediately after the war. The head of the Parliament said this situation has been managed successfully, in close co-ordination with Western partners, especially those Americans, until the outbreak of conflict in Syria.
Wessel made it known that Kosovo is currently working on a multidimensional institutional programme aimed at delinging people who have participated in recent conflicts in the Middle East.
In this effort, Wessel said that the main ally is youth.
“Insitions are working to be treated and not to have the continuation of the event they previously had. The biggest ally of our institutions in this direction are Kosovo's young people themselves, and their belief in the Euro-Atlantic vision”, Veselin stressed.
He also mentioned concrete cases of legal treatment and judicial sentences that have been handed down to such elements.
“We are pledging that we will be uncompromising in this direction. We will not allow anyone to come and teach us our way of life and change our way of conduct”, Chief Prime Minister Veselin stressed, simultaneously asking the European Union to take encouraging action for the citizens of the country.
