The withdrawal of the invitation comes after Scheel's threats that Osman must be prevented from entering Serbia's Parliament, as well as warnings from Serbian Parliament Speaker that she will abandon the conference if Osman is allowed to attend, Serbian media reported.
Nenad Canak, chairman of the Commission for European Integration in Serbia's Parliament, had invited Vjosa Osmani to attend the conference organised by Serbia's Parliament to discuss European integrations. But, following SESH's remarks, Parliament Speaker Gojlovic had said that representatives of so-called states that Serbia does not recognise cannot be invited. As a result, he had canceled his invitation to Osman.
