Kosovo President Hashim Thaci today has held a meeting with Austria's Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
After the meeting the country's president has praised the meeting as quite positive.
Speaking about the topics discussed at the meeting, Thaci stressed that Austria has received support for Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL, visa liberalisation and dialogue with Serbia.
“We discussed the support Austria will give to Kosovo in INTERPOL, but also stronger support for visa liberalisation. That support will happen as Kosovo has met the 95 criteria required by the European Commission. Even the dialogue, which is supposed to begin at the end of June or early July, will have support from Austria after this country takes over the chairmanship of the EU”, President Thaci has said.
For dialogue with Serbia, the first state said normalisation would be a very difficult process.
For this, it called for support and unity from the political spectrum in Kosovo.
“Normisation will be a very difficult process for European reports on Kosovo and Serbia. Kosovo continues to be unique in dialogue with Serbia. The political show will continue to be responsible and to work on state interests. The loans will be for all, as it will be historic finalisation for the state of Kosovo”, Thaci stressed.
For dialogue the president said the co-ordination would continue together with the EU and America.
