He has also cited changes that are expected to be made with new policies in confiscating illegally acquired property.
We are at the conclusion of a new policy, a new approach and thinking. I am strongly convinced that we will create new instruments for prosecutors and courts that will largely seize illegal property acquired by criminal acts, whether by politicians, businesses or people who are irresponsible or whoever is”.
“Illegal wealth, capitalised property must be returned to the Government of Kosovo, and I will make that difference. I will soon present the new draft Law and this will be a clear signal to the EU and our allies”.
Tahiri in the Bank of Kosovo Zone B has said the changes expected to take place in this draft law will also function retroactively.
One of the biggest comments has been the burden of proof, so who will fall the burden of proof. We're discussing this and I believe that here we're going to take the big step in the justice system right now 20 years of”.
The bill is in the final draft, I will issue it very soon with the public. It will be a new dimension, a new approach that will achieve greater efficiency in confiscating property acquired by criminal work”.
“So far, prosecutors and judges have not been able to be very effective in testifying to whether politicians or businesses who have been charged, that wealth that they have managed to profit illegally or by criminal work”.
Under no circumstances will we create mechanisms that will succeed in misusing irresponsible individuals who may be within institutions and accuse certain people. There will be exceptionally great advancement, and all those who testify that they have managed to gain wealth by criminal action are creating instruments that will be confiscated”.
