Kosovo police conduct mass action under suspicion of trafficking with human beings

Kosovo police report that the Directorate for Trafficking in Human Being Investigation in Co-operation and in support of municipal inspectors, ATK officials and other profiled units under the KK have conducted routine checks and inspections in 28 different bars and locals. Seven (7) of these locals have been closed by competent inspectors.
Police at these sites have encountered a hundred and eighty-three) female (122 citizens of Albania, 56 citizens of Kosovo, 2 citizens of Serbia, two Macedonian citizens and 1 Bulgarian citizens. All foreign nationals have been confiscated from documents (in the absence of presentation of work permits and residence) and were granted invitations to be submitted to the Directorate for Migration and Foreign Affairs.
Police have found and confiscated an eight-piece pistol, a knife, a metal rod and other relevant items.
Police remain committed to accomplishing its constitutional and legal duties to provide order and public security, combating criminal activities, including human trafficking.
