The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MPJ) through a media statement has clarified that the official announcement to Montenegro regarding the completion of all legal internal procedures for ratification of demarcation between the two countries will take place within the set legal deadline.
Respectably 15 days after publishing this agreement in the Official Journal of the Republic of Kosovo.
“The completion of the Law on ratification of the previously mentioned Agreement was made in the Official Journal of the Republic of Kosovo on 15 May, 2018. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo will announce the authorities of Montenegro through diplomatic channels and in written form for the fulfilment of domestic procedures and for the entry into force of this” Agreement, it is said further in the statement.
After three years of procrastination, the demarcation agreement was voted in the Assembly on March 21st of this year. /
