The decision was made following a lengthy trial process against film “Incocence of Musmis”, made in 2012, broadcasts Periscope, reports Al-Jazeera.
The lawyer, who had filed the case in court, Mohammed Hamid Salem, has told Reuters news agency that the court ruling commands blocking all links that have broadcast the film.
A lower administrative court in 2013 had ordered YouTube blocked in Egypt, but the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority had proposed that this action not be taken after the appeal to the highest court.
The 13-minute short film “Incocence of Musim”, carried out with a small budget in California, was of the sandjacker. This film had sparked anti-American protests in Egypt and other states with Muslim populations when it first appeared in 2012.
Washington had said the film was conducted with a private budget and that it had not received official support, but could not stop it because the film was protected by the right to express itself.
The ruling of the main administrative court is considered final and cannot be appealed. /Periscopi/
