Papua New Guinea is looking into the deadlock of Facebook in this country to uncover accounts and false news.

The proposal presented by Communications Minister Sam Basil to replace Facebook with a local platform has been ridiculed in the local media.

Facebook's month-long departure will begin Thursday and allow the government to collect enough information about false users and collect data for those who have raised pornography and sensitive information on the internet
