The burned body of the famous lawyer, known for the passionate fight for the rights of LGBT community and environmental issues, has been found on Saturday near a park alley in New York, broadcast Periscope.

David Buckel, wet himself with gasoline and set it on fire, leaving two notes near that horrible suicide scene. On one, he identified himself and said he was committing a suicide in protest. In the past, which he had sent to The Daily News, he widely explained his motives.

He said he wanted his death to increase the action against an ecological catastrophe taking place. “Most people on the planet already breathe contaminated air, and as a result, my early death from fossil fuels reflects what we're doing to ourselves,” says in the footnote.

He added that he hoped that his death would be an honest death that would serve others.

Buckel worked as the director of a project trying to promote lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transplants. /Periscopi
