Kosovo Posters have not yet received their salaries. Education Mehmeti from Mail announces that even though today is the sixth day of April Posta it has not been able to execute wages for their employees
Mehmeti reports the company's situation remains serious.
“Vones in carrying out pay obligations for employees have been very concerned, meanwhile, the reactions and demands of the wage execution unions are considered fair”, the announcement said.
Mehmet also gives why Posta is in this state
“We have long requested coverage of the losses we have in the Universal Post Service through dozens of official paperwork to the Government, from 2013 until now, but even though it is a legal obligation to cover this service which is derived from the Law on Post Service and the agreement signed by the MZHE and Kosovo Post, which clearly stipulates that when Posta cannot cover the expenses of this service, the government must cover the loss. We still have no positive decision in this direction”, says the announcement.
According to Mehmet the private owner, but also the Constitutional Court in Pristina, they have given their position that Government is obliged to pay the Post 3,504,341.89 euros, including in this interest and other expenditures to the date when decisions have been issued (reconnected you have the completion decision and the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina).
The other factor affecting workers' salary execution delays, according to Mehmet is the delay of Kosovo Telekom in carrying out contractual obligations that it has with the Kosovo Post.
Therefore, once again we ask the shareholder (Kosovo government) for our demands to deal with seriously and for the next week to organise intensive meetings between the MZHE, the Board of Directors, Company Management, as well as labor unions, to overcome this serious situation”, Mehmeti says.
Mehmeti said further that the Kosovo Post would overcome the crisis very soon, if there were concrete actions on the part of the Government of Kosovo, not just words.
The “is not acceptable for us that the Actionary services performed in each post in Rajon do not exceed its own company, its property, but continue to offer these services to private operators, at very high cost”.
